School holidays

In the holidays I slept and I watched tv. I enjoyed these holidays because I relaxed and I didn't have to do any work/ homework/chores. I didn't quite like it the first week because my dad had to go to Austrailia but he came back home on the coming Sunday eve ,another reason of why I didn't like these holidays was I just stayed at home and I got bored. In the next school holidays I would like visit /go out  places in New Zealand that I haven't visited.

Maraetai beach

The clouds flew by looking like blue candy floss as the morning rised up. The black silvery water will now be shining blue and feels like evil is going to take over and a sea monster will appear. Water at the beach is as calm as the sheets on my bed. The smooth sand looks like rocky concrete as it is being laid on the road.

Mirror

Author: Jeannie Baker
Illustrator: Jeannie Baker

There are two boys and two families in this sophisticated picture book. One family is very poor and they live in Morocco in North Africa. The other family live in Australia and they have more money to do things. The message of this book is that families live differently all around the world but some things are still connected like caring for family.

This book is recommended for children eight years old and over because if a little kid read this they would not understand the pictures.

Sweet, sweet, sweet corn from Our Living Classroom

On Monday C3 gobbled up some of the sweet corn from OLC.

Mr Eley went and picked it for us so that we could test and see how sweet they are. All of us agree that it was scrumptious and very sweet.

Take a look at our pictures.

"Yellow, sweet, sweet corn!" cried Jerome
"Mr Eley can pick some out for you too!" stated Rajpreet
"Yummmmmmmmmm" said Sahib
